MV Agusta | Ducati Ride Day – Sept. 8th
and lunch at Zonzo
To say that we were blessed with the weather would be an understatement! Melbourne’s unpredictable weather worked in our favour. At the start of the week, based on the weather forecast, we thought that we might have to end up cancelling but didn’t – only because we knew that by Sunday, the preceding Monday’s forecast would mean little… and, just like last year, we were right!… we hope that his trend continues.
Twenty four MV Agusta & Ducati riders turned up! Which was one more than last year. The MV Agusta and Ducati motorcycles rode up the Dandenongs and back down to the other side before the curves opened up into the Yarra Valley where we stopped for lunch at the stunning location that Zonzo is. Needless to say, from a multi-year, award winning restaurant, the food and service were faultless; thank you Rod, Adolfo and team.
The team at Zonzo were very accommodating; allowing us to park our bikes in prime location where we had the opportunity to take some great shots. Following lunch, Part II of the ride was underway. We headed along the windy roads from Healesville to Gembrook. What a ride that was – and the sound of Ducati and MV Agusta engines revving through the hills is one that still resonates in our heads.
The roads were continuous tight to sweeping curves and the joy of experiencing MV Agusta and Ducati bikes on a stunning Melbourne day was there to be lapped up. Everyone made it back safe, and that’s the way Mototecnic likes to keep all of our rides and networking days.
Thank you to everyone who turned up – the Mototecnic Crew will be organising another ride, very soon; stay in the loop.
